12) Housing

Student halls of residence are located in the center of Stuttgart city as well as on the main University campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Apartments are equipped with shower/toilets and have access to kitchen facilities, telephone and Internet.

Upcoming GEM students can apply for a room in those residences. For a valid room reservation students have to transfer a deposit  (including partial payment for the first rent) before the contract starts.
Room prices are about EUR 400,- to 700,- per month, dependent on the individual furnishing and size. Meals are not included. After registration the applicant receives a confirmation about housing on campus which might be helpful for the visa regulations.

Upon admission to GEM, we will provide you with further details on how to arrange your trip and stay here. Please note that due to the limited number of rooms for GEM students there is no guarantee to get a room. Rooms are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

For students who prefer to look for private accommodation or have no accommodation on their day of arrival invaluable information can be found on the website of the International Office.
